The course is to teach basic programming skills using PCs running Microsoft Windows.
Topics will include development of PC-based, as well as web-based applications.
Programming language will be Visual Basic, along with HTML/CSS for web development. All required software will be provided (downloadable – for free – from the Internet).
Course material is a combination of videos, written documents, and sample exercises. The majority of the material was professionally-created by Microsoft and is freely-available to all.
Students should be at least 7th grade, or with a real desire to learn to program. They'll need a PC or laptop running Windows XP SP2 or later.
NOTE: The class will be conducted online -- there are no class meetings.
