7.   2005 Elections – To avoid having an entirely new board every year, four current board members have agreed to step down or run for re-election in the 2005 elections:  Carol Williams, Treasurer; Elizabeth Dahl; Heather Mayorga; and Bethany Callahan.  Shannon Simpkins volunteered for the Treasurer position, and Patti volunteered to rerun for the Secretary position (we might have a database coordinator).  Jim P. has developed an election procedure/timetable for board approval.  According to the procedure, ballots will not be issued if no offices are contested.  However, the By-Laws require an “election”.  It is recommended that a vote be held at the meeting for the open offices.  Shannon Simpkins was nominated and elected for NNHS Treasurer all approved no opposed.  Patti Poston was nominated and elected for NNHS Secretary all approved no opposed.

8.   End of year party – The end-of-year party is being planned by Patti and Elizabeth from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd, at Bowers Mansion.  The date was determined by when the swimming pool opens up.  The school district is running late this year due to snow days and the pool is not opening up until school is out.  NNHS members will be admitted free, non-NNHS members will have to pay a fee.  NNHS will provide hot dogs and hamburgers; attendees will provide side dishes, salads, and desserts.  Approval of a maximum of $4000 250 is requested to cover the food and pavilion rental. – Heather makes a motion to approved up to $500 and Carol seconded discussion followed and all approve.
