REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

When you register, please choose the option(s) you desire to participate in, taking into account your children's ages and how tired they might get. Register for as many as you can reasonably fit in. Multiple registrations allowed, which means log in more than once if you can't choose all the options you desire on the first try. Then just pay at the end for everything.

Option 1A: 10am Pie Baking hands-on at Denver Dan's, maximum of 20 bakers age 5 and up. Parents must accompany small children. Baked pies can be picked up between 2pm and 5pm, on your way home. This was a huge hit last year! The website is not yet updated, and neither is their price. But I've spoken to them on the phone. It might seem expensive for a 5" pie, but the pride those kids showed in baking something all on their own was priceless! Parents and teens can bake their own 8" pie, too. Same cost. Just note in the registration comments.

Option 1B: 12pm Pie Baking hands-on at Denver Dan's, maximum of 20 bakers age 5 and up. Parents must accompany small children. Baked pies can be picked up just before 5pm, on your way home.

***************************************************

Option 1C: 2pm* Wreath-Making hands-on at Denver Dan's, minimum 5/maximum of 10 crafters, age 8 and up. Parents must accompany smaller children who will be using a hot glue gun.

Apple Wreath Making Classes!

Apple Wreath6″ wreath, materials, & decorations provided. Use of hot glue gun required. We provide all the materials you will need. Children & adults enjoy this craft as well!!

Allow one to one and a half hours and you can take it home.  (Larger frames are available for an additional charge.)

These are fun to make and you can be quite creative!  They make wonderful gifts and decorations you can be proud of.  They can also be made into candleholders for center pieces.

*This choice will preclude attending the hayride at High Hill. But if you arrive later, or want to wander on your own, this will fit perfectly.

***************************************************

Option 2: 3:00pm Hayride through the orchard at the big, commercial High Hill Ranch with history of the ranch, tour of cider mill and peeling/packing, tour of pie-making/donut-making and cold storage, apple juice sample and an apple for each guest. Begins promptly at 3:00 p.m. You can come to High Hill Ranch to eat your lunch (bring your own picnic, or buy carnival-foods there) by the fishing pond or at the large, upper picnic area. Wander around the orchard and craft booths on your own if you don't want to pay for the hayride/tour. There are pony rides, ducks to feed at the pond and plenty of apply products to buy.

For the Hayride, we meet at the shady UPPER PICNIC AREA, right next to the giant, busy parking lot...not the area near the duck pond. Meet at 2:30-2:45 p.m. to check in so we can begin on time. Thanks.

SUGGESTIONS FOR OTHER PLACES TO VISIT:

- Kids Inc./Delfino Farms or Larsen's Apple Barn for lunch on your own. Buy tacos at High Grill, or eat the picnic you brought from home. Wander the corn maze. Shop. http://kidsincapples.com/ranch-features/

- Lunch on your own at Bodhaine Ranch. Snap some souvenir photos piled atop the hay bales. http://applehill.com/project/bodhaine-ranch/

- Cardanini's PUMPKIN PATCH for picking your own pumpkin

******************************

CARPOOL / CARAVAN:

We will meet up at 7:00 a.m. at the south end of Reno, in the parking lot in front of Winner's Corner (Longley and S. Virginia). We will then caravan through Carson City, and up Highway 50, through a beautiful forest, on our way to Apple Hill. Feel free to meet us there, instead.

If you have room in your vehicle for others, why not carpool and make it more fun! Invite someone by emailing activities@nnhs.org with the number of seats available in your vehicle.
